Barton School’s Executive Education Program to Feature Global AI Expert Dr. Mark Esposito

The Center for Management Development (CMD) and Executive Education at Wichita State University’s W. Frank Barton School of Business is continuing its Executive Education Series for industry leaders and executives.

The next program will feature Dr. Mark Esposito, an internationally recognized authority on artificial intelligence (AI) and the Fourth Industrial Revolution. His session, “Leading with AI: Mastering AI-Driven Strategy for Market Leadership,” will take place on October 2 from 1–4:30 p.m. at Woolsey Hall.

“The world of leadership is changing rapidly with the rise of artificial intelligence,” said Dr. Esposito. “I’m excited to share the opportunities AI can provide for leaders who are willing to embrace it and activate it for themselves and their companies.”

Dr. Esposito is a trusted advisor to governments and corporations worldwide. He is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global AI Alliance and its Fostering Converging Technologies group, placing him at the forefront of global discussions on technology and economic development. He serves as Professor of Economics and Strategy at both Hult International Business School and Harvard University, where he leads initiatives on AI, global strategy, and economic development. He is also affiliated with the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society and the Center for International Development at Harvard, and serves as Adjunct Professor of Public Policy at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business. Dr. Esposito earned his doctorate from École des Ponts Paris Tech, the world’s oldest civil engineering school.

As an entrepreneur, Dr. Esposito co-founded Nexus FrontierTech and The Circular Economy Alliance, and he has authored 13 books, including multiple Amazon bestsellers and forthcoming works on AI strategy. Ranked among Thinkers50’s top business minds, he is a sought-after voice on how technology is reshaping competitive advantage in today’s volatile environment. He recently served as the James Schwartz Distinguished Speaker and J. Robert Young Executive-in-Residence at the Barton School in Spring 2025.

The Executive Education Series is a bold CMD initiative designed to deliver market-driven, transformative programming that addresses the most pressing business challenges. Through Dr. Esposito’s session, CEOs, C-Suite executives, presidents, vice presidents, directors, and other leaders will gain strategies to move beyond reactive resilience toward proactive, AI-powered competitive advantage. Attendees will learn frameworks for integrating AI, navigating regulatory changes and disruptions, developing governance and risk tools, and connecting with peers.

“The Executive Education program isn’t just professional development—it’s personal transformation,” said Denise Sherman, Director of CMD and Executive Education. “Our programs are built for leaders who never stop growing. We are thrilled to have Dr. Esposito as our next Executive Education Series speaker and presenter. He is a global thought leader who will set the stage for a series of engaging, powerful, and transformative conversations.”
