Dr. Christopher Stone currently serves as a Clinical Associate Professor of Human Resource Management (HRM) in the Barton School of Business at Wichita State University. At WSU Dr. Stone teaches undergraduate and graduate courses such as Fundamentals of HRM, Selection, and Talent Development.
His primary research interest is in United States military veteran transition processes. While serving in the Air Force, Dr. Stone served as an aircraft electrician and a military training instructor. He owned a small business for three years immediately after leaving the Air Force, which he sold to attend graduate school.
He received his MBA and Ph.D. in organizational behavior (OB) and HRM from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Dr. Stone has worked in food service, retail, landscaping, construction, auto body repair. He enjoys fixing things, handling most home repairs and car repairs himself.
Dr. Stone’s family consists of his wife, Jennifer, two Pitbull mixes (Strider and Fury) adopted from Beauties and Beasts, and a cat named Mr. Business. Dr. Stone and his wife enjoy traveling and outdoor activities such as scuba diving, hiking, and anything involving being active and exploring nature.
