Anita Barrett, PMP, worked in Logistics for Payless Shoes and Koch Industries for 17 years before entering Aerospace for 10 years at Bombardier Learjet and Textron Cessna in Information Technology project management.

Anita also gained valuable experience as a Sr. Project Manager with Cargill, and as PMO Manager with Agvantis prior to her current position with Wichita State University as Director of Information Technology Services.

She has 28 years of experience running Information Technology projects, working with every major function of a large company.

After earning her BS in Business Administration from KU, she became a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute in 2007 and is currently working on her Agile Certification with six others.

Anita and her husband John live in Goddard. They raised 3 children and now have a wonderful 2 sons-in-law, a daughter-in-law and 4 grandchildren.  They love to travel and spent a month in Alaska, their favorite trip.
